Our clients envisioned the removal of one wall between the family room and living room.

We ended up enlarging the spaces between the living and foyer, foyer and kitchen & kitchen and family.

You know what wall didn't get larger ? The one between the family and living. Instead we added pocket doors

Sometimes, what is needed is another perspective!

Perseverance. That’s the word that comes to mind

Perseverance. That’s the word that comes to mind today.

Did you know the LK Design Facebook page was created from my kitchen floor? True story! I was sitting there, overwhelmed and uncertain, when I decided on a whim to start the page and invite a few friends to like it.

My company didn’t begin there—its roots go further back—but that moment marked a deliberate shift. It was the day I decided to give design my full attention and heart.

So, why was I on my kitchen floor?

I had just lost a contract with the Department of Defense. I was terrified. That contract was the backbone of my income.

We had two small children.
We had a mortgage.
We had bills.

And still—one of the hardest times in my life turned into one of the most incredible opportunities.

No, unicorns didn’t show up overnight. There were bumps, hiccups, and a lot of late nights. But perseverance—that one powerful word—kept me going.

Sitting on that kitchen floor, I learned something life-changing: any dream is possible.

To anyone in our community who needs to hear this...
Believe in yourself, because you 100% got this. I see you, and I’m here for you.
